in 1Password 3 – 7 for Mac

I am running OSX 10.10.3 and was trying to update 1Password to version 3.8.22 from 3.8.21.

Having downloaded the update, I am getting a "An error occurred when extracting the archive, pleas try again" error message. I have tried 3 times. Anyone any ideas please?

    Hi @alexph,

    I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble updating your copy of 1Password 3. Please try this:

    • Fully quit 1Password.
    • Go to our downloads page and scroll to the bottom for Legacy versions.
    • Download a fresh copy of 1Password 3.
    • Drag this fresh copy into the /Applications folder and replace the existing copy.
    • Do not use any app cleaners to remove the original app
    • Open 1Password
