Syncing
Upgraded to iphone6 and got applewatch (not that the app works on it but just happened at same time) and entering all data on desktop Imac using 10.9.5. Also set up icloud and am using that for backup. New phone and imac no longer syncing and I have tried everything I can think of using cloud, dropbox, and wired directly to the computer. The phone is not seeing the new data entered on imac

Congrats on your upgraded hardware! 1Password actually does work on Apple Watch; have you tried to use it and had trouble with it? Let us know because obviously it's still new and there may be kinks to work out.
Regarding iCloud Sync, please have a look at this iCloud troubleshooting article in our knowledgebase. If you get through that checklist and still can't get iCloud sync working, let us know and we'll ask for a Diagnostics Report from your device to have a deeper look for other issues.

Do you know how I would know if I bought the program from Apple store. I've had it for a long time and don't know.

Thanks for that, @Indyhuff. That explains part of the problem. The version of 1Password from our website is not able to sync with iCloud due to restrictions from Apple, so that rules out that option.
But you did mention Dropbox, so I'd like to point you toward our Dropbox sync instructions. Set it up on your Mac first, and then sync your iPhone to the same 1Password.agilekeychain file in Dropbox. Full instructions for both can be found from that link.

I did get it to synch with wifi. Thank you for your help. Had no problem getting it to work with the watch. Directions very clear online. But passcode only required first time to get into app, then app is permanently open. so will be taking it off the watch. Why would it as for a passcode and then not require it. Is there something I can change in settings?

In case you haven't found it yet, there's also this article on the security of 1Password for Apple Watch, which will hopefully be updated soon to address the question you've raised about the frequency (or rather infrequency) of entering the passcode.
Essentially, you have to manually select which items can be viewed from 1Password on your Watch, and we encourage you to understand the risks and use 1Password accordingly. :)
