It would be very helpful if you let us know what version of 1Password you're using (go to 1Password > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there).

If you bought 1P from the AgileBits store the licence can be shared by up to six family members living in the same household. If you bought 1P from the Mac App Store your wife can use it if she uses the same Apple ID as you use or if you both use OS X Yosemite and are part of a family sharing arrangement.

Your wife can have her own independent copy of 1P in those circumstances, using her own master password and 1P vault.

If you bought your copy of 1P from the AgileBits store, and assuming you're using 1P4 or 1P5, you can copy your licence file to your wife any way you like (USB stick, email, etc.). If you can't find your licence file for 1P4 or 1P5 you can have it re-sent to you.

It's not quite clear if you have separate computers, or two accounts on the same computer.

If you share a computer, then of course you only need one copy of the 1PW program itself. I am not sure if you each need a copy of the license, but I think so.

Apart from this slight addition, I agree with Stephen_C.
