On other devices it's called 1 Password but on the mac air it's called call 1 Password 5. How do get new computer show all items. Thanks.

    Hi @lgacord,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with Dropbox sync!

On other devices it's called 1 Password but on the mac air it's called call 1 Password 5.

The app named 1Password (without the number) is the Mac App Store version, and the app named 1Password 5 is the AgileBits Store version. It sounds like you originally purchased the 1Password from the Mac App Store on your other Mac, but downloaded it from our website on your MacBook Air. That's not necessarily the cause of the problem, but the one from our website is actually a trial version that will expire after 30 days. If you purchased the Mac App Store version, you can delete the app called 1Password 5 from your MacBook Air, then launch the Mac App Store and download it from the Purchases section (make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to make the purchase).

Problem is there are over 100 items in my vault but the air only shows 10. I sync with Drop Box.

When you install the Mac App Store version of 1Password on your MacBook Air and set it up, you'll be able to enable Dropbox sync. Once the sync is complete, do you have all your items in 1Password on the MacBook Air?

If not, please check the sync settings on your other Mac (the one which has all your 100+ items in 1Password). To do that, open 1Password and go to the menu for 1Password > Preferences, then click the Sync tab. Does that show your vault is syncing with Dropbox?

Please let us know how it goes up to this point, and we'll continue from there if it's still a problem. Thanks!

Drew, thanks for getting back to so fast. Let me explain further. I initially installed the program on my mac. I must have downloaded it twice because I noticed there were 2 programs; 1 password and 1 password 5. password 5 had 10 items and 1 password had 103 so I must have used both at one time. I deleted password 5 and kept the one with all my data. When i installed on my ipad, iphone and android device all passwords were showing. When I downloaded for my mac air I got 1 password 5. I downloaded from the website so I uninstalled that program and downloaded from the Apple store. The problem is no matter where I download the program from what shows on my mac air is 1 password 5 with 10 items not my entire password, logins and personal data. All my devices are set to sync with Drop Box so I am really confused on how to correct the problem? I'm currently overseas in Asia so there is a time delay in sending you a response. Sorry about that and thanks again for getting back to me. One of the reasons I selected 1 Password was due to the reviews that said customer service was better than the other programs.

    Drew,

As a follow-up I found the problem. Actually, you were right. When I download from the Apple Store it is 1 Password. The problem was when I looked at the sync info in Preferences there were 2 files in my Drop Box. One for 1 Password and one for 1 Password 5. I deleted the one with 10 items and redirected to the other Drop Box file and all is good for me now. Many thanks again for responding to me so quickly. And BTW although I am a new user I have been very impressed with the product thus far.

    Hi @lgacord,

That's great news, I'm really glad you were able to solve the sync problem! Having two different keychain files in Dropbox certainly explains the problem, and is one of the next things I would have asked you to check. (Great minds think alike, right? ;) )

Hopefully you're all set now and everything continues to work well, but if you have more questions or run into any other problems, please don't hesitate to let us know - we're always happy to help! I'm glad you're enjoying 1Password so far, and hopefully we'll continue to impress you. :)
