Hello. I'd like to sync my Macbook and Mac Mini without having to go through Dropbox, nor iCloud, but cannot find any info on whether this is possible. Is it and if so how? Thank you.

Take a look at folder sync.

    Hi @hbatten,

Hopefully the link that Stephen provided will help you configure a sync solution that meets your needs. If you have any further questions about folder sync, or about the security of cloud sync, we're here to help. :)

Thanks Stephen and Vee! Got it. For anyone else, I'm going to set up a folder in my Spideroak account, which I believe is more secure than iCloud, Dropbox or OneDrive.

You're most welcome, @hbatten! And thanks for the update.

Just to clarify, 1Password data is end-to-end encrypted, so with regard to security there is no difference between syncing 1Password data with Dropbox, iCloud, or SpiderOak. 1Password simply doesn't depend on the security of either to protect your data. Many of us here at AgileBits use Dropbox Sync.

What is end-to-end encryption? How does that protect my data?

Then again, we're all for you using whatever sync configuration gives you the most peace of mind! As we like to say, it's your data, and you should be able to choose your own adventure. :) Cheers!

Thanks for the clarification, Vee. Great tech. Rephrase: our business has chosen to not use iCloud, Dropbox, or OneDrive so for consistencies sake, I'll be syncing via Spideroak and our own server.
