cannot open 1 Password in the menu bar, it keeps syncing.

I have the 1Passoword Icon in my menu bar of safari. I have a MAC. When I try to open it, it starts syncing. I let it run all night and it is still syncing.
I could use some help.

    So that we can help please tell us:

    1. what version of 1P you are using on your Mac (go to 1P > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there);
    2. the version number of the 1P extension in Safari (go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions);
    3. what device you are syncing with, what version of 1P that device is running and what sync method you're using (Dropbox, iCloud or wifi).
    4. your OS X version number.
