JUST STARTING TO USE 1 PASWORD

HELLO I just buy 1 pasword in an Ipad, when I get to my mac I find 2 app 1pasword & 1pasword5 whats this!!!!

    First note, that 1PW for iPad is a separate product from 1PW for Mac. It is free in its basic form, with an in-app purchase providing extra features.

    Second, you can buy the Mac version of 1PW either direct from AgileBits or from the Mac App Store. The version from AgileBits is named 1Password 5, the version from the App Store is named 1Password. The difference between the two is that only the version from the Mac App Store supports iCloud sync. All versions support Dropbox sync, which has some advantages over iCloud.

    Due to the way Apple runs the App Store, if you have 1PW from them you must have paid for it, as there isn't a trial. The version from AgileBits runs in trial mode until you buy a license.

    So first thing to do is decide which version you want. Next is to check whether you have paid twice. We (AgileBits staff and experienced users) can help you further from there.

    Hi @dcohen,

    danco has supplied a bit of information for you and we can expand on anything where you're unsure at all. As he says, 1Password is when you purchase from Apple's Mac App Store and 1Password 5 is when you purchase from our AgileBits Store. They're both us and you only need one. If you have both on your machine we'll work with you to prune it down to one.
