Serious performance problems

I'm using 1Password and my keychain/tresor since 2007. Now I got serious performance problems: 1Password mini uses constantly > 80% CPU and after some time about 250 MB RAM. 1Password main application uses enormous amounts of CPU (e.g. 240%) and RAM (4.87 GB very soon after launch). 1Password and therefore my whole system becomes unusable if 1Password is running. I've 906 objects, 1Password.agilekeychain in Dropbox directory has 38.2 MB. How can I fix it?

    Hello @RoyalKnight,

I'm sorry to hear 1Password is overworking your system like this. It sounds like your sync container may be damaged and 1Password is working overtime to try to fix it.

When we've spoken with other users who've had this problem, they were able to resolve it by disabling sync in 1Password (on all the devices you may be syncing), deleting the 1Password.agilekeychain file in Dropbox (which won't affect the local copy of your vault), and then turning sync back on (first on your Mac) to create a fresh sync file.

So I'd suggest giving that a try, and let us know how it goes for you or if you have any other questions along the way.

Thank you, that did the trick. Now CPU usage is back to normal and 1Password uses 519 MB and 1Password mini 81 MB of RAM after running for quite some time. 1Password.agilekeychain size is reduced to 1.7 MB only.

Very glad to hear that, @RoyalKnight! Thanks for the update. Sorry for the trouble, but glad to know you were able to get it back under control. We'll be here to help if anything else should come up. :)
