Backup to uninstall
I want to ensure that the passwords in my trial Passwords 3.9.20 are safe and saved before I install ANYthing else, of course. So What do I install or turn on first? I seem to have lost the thread of "How to uninstall…" when the Safari Extens GET IT NOW pop-up was clicked. Where to now??

We can definitely help but just before we do so can I just request a bit of confirmation please. You mention this refers to 1Password 4 for Mac in the version section but use the phrase
trial Password 3.9.20
which was only available from Apple's Mac App Store. So it would be impossible to run a trial version of v3.9.2.
As the AgileBits Store versions of 1Password 3 and 1Password 4/5 stored their files in very different places it is prudent to ensure we know what you're running and where to make sure you back up the correct data. Our page on What version of 1Password am I running? should help and the little down arrow next to where it says 1Password 5 for Mac indicates it's a drop down menu where you can select 1Password 3 if needed. I'm sure you can understand why we want to make sure we don't accidentally give you the wrong instructions given how important your vault is :smile:
