Get message-Failed to check for updates.A server with the specified hostname could not be found . I have 2 macbook pros and I have no problem with the updates on them. Everything else on my mac with 1password works great, just can't get updates. I have 1Password Version 5.3(530032) from the Agile web store.

Checking for updates does work for me. It's possible there may have been some temporary glitch. If it still doesn't work for you reboot the recalcitrant Mac and try again.

Incidentally, I'm a little unclear what Mac is giving the problem, because you say:

I have 2 macbook pros and I have no problem with the updates on them. Everything else on my mac with 1password works great, just can't get updates

I'm assuming there's a mysterious third Mac somewhere in the equation. :)

Did you try re-booting that Mac?

    Hi @joseph_hite,

I'd go with the reboot idea too. It could be a stale DNS cache or similar that is the issue. A reboot should take care of that if it's the case. If it doesn't it might be worth checking to see if you're using a proxy or different DNS server settings on the Mac compared to your MacBooks.

Worst case scenario, does you Mac allow you to download the latest copy of 1Password from our AgileBits Download page? Due to how Mac apps work (I like this system) you can simply drag the old version to your Trash and then move the new version into /Applications/ and upgrade done  it's not an ideal way of doing it so we'll want to make sure going forward that it's behaving properly but it would be a reasonable sanity check to see if your Mac is having trouble reaching our site for any reason.
