1Password iCloud support.
I have 1Password 5 for OS X from AgileBits store. I would like to use iCloud sync. I understand that only Apple Store version supports iCloud. Is there a way to upgrade to this feature without spending 40.00 dollars?

Unfortunately no. 1Password for Mac (Mac App Store) is a completely separate purchase and Apple don't have a system in place to offer individuals a discount. It's one area where our store gives us much more freedom than we have in Apple's stores. Now maybe that will change one day but for the moment it's one of the weaknesses of Apple's approach.
What we can do is refund anybody that has made a purchase from our AgileBits Store and is still in their 30 day refund window. This then frees them up to purchase from Apple's Mac App Store.
As an example of the differences between our stores. Say the next big version of 1Password is a paid upgrade again like it was between versions 3 and 4. Say we offer a discount in our store like we did before. We don't have this ability to do this in Apple's store. When I evaluated where to purchase 1Password for Mac from, either directly or via Apple's Mac App Store I knew this was the case when I purchased and it's still true today. I will have to pay full price and that's something I accepted when I made my deal with Apple :tongue:
I believe we have a sale on at the moment so if iCloud Sync support is something you feel strongly on now would at least be a good time to pick up the Mac App Store version.
