Hi Frederick,
It sounds like you're having a very different issue now than the one you originally posted about in your previous thread, so I've moved your new message to a separate discussion. I'm sorry you're having some trouble installing the update for 1Password for Mac!
In the previous thread from several months ago, you mentioned that you were using 1Password 5 for Mac. But the message you're getting now is for trying to install an update for 1Password 4 for Mac. So I'm not sure if this is on a different Mac with an older version of Mac OS X, but assuming you are trying to use the AgileBits Store version of 1Password for Mac, you should be able to solve the problem with these steps:
- Go to the Applications folder and drag 1Password 4.app to the Trash (do not use any app cleaning tools).
- Empty the Trash, then reboot your Mac.
- If you're using Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), download a fresh copy of 1Password 5 from our download site.
- If you're using Mac OS X 10.8 or 10.9, download a fresh copy of 1Password 4 from the "Legacy" section at the bottom of our download site.
- Once downloaded, unzip the file if necessary and drag it to the Applications folder.
- Double-click the new app to open it.
Does it work now? Please let us know how it works out for you, thanks!
