Old Post: "Feature suggestion: save a browser choice to use with particular logins"
I just want to say that this would be a great feature. I use Chrome as a default, but there are websites that will not work properly with Chrome. Others don't play well with Safari. Some only work correctly with Firefox. Of course, I forget and fire up the default only for it to get stuck at some point leaving me to start over with the correct browser for the login. A great feature would be to allow each entry to state which browser should be used. Thanks!

Hi @David Brown,
This thread, Clicking url in browsers 1Password Mini opens url in default browser instead of current, may be of some interest.
It mentions a third party application called Choosy that may be of use to you. The difficulty for 1Password is currently we simply pass the URL to OS X and let it use the default handler for HTTP and HTTPS URLs. It isn't to say that such a feature couldn't one day make it into 1Password but you may find something like this Choosy allows you to workaround our approach without waiting for us. We will of course take your interest on board, I just wanted to offer something that might help you now rather than a potential later.
Could it be a solution for now?

There is also Browser Fairy. I haven't used it, or Choosy. Just felt that pointing out choices might be useful.

Choices are always good @danco  I haven't used Choosy, it was one that somebody else had recommended at some point. I assume Browser Fairy works in a similar fashion?
--Edit--
Browser Fairy might be a better choice. It's in Apple's Mac App Store meaning it must meet certain standards and Choosy it seems hasn't been updated in a while. That's pretty much all I know about both. Nice find though danco

Yes, I know no more about Browser Fairy than you do. Of course, as it's an App Store item, it can't be tried out first. But it is half the price of Choosy.
