Can I create a new category to store cellphone details?

    1Password does not permit the creation of new categories. It's a frequently requested feature, which AgileBits always has said it is considering, but, as is their usual cutom, have made no promises about whether it is coming or when.

    Thank you for taking the time to post your question here. Hawkmoth is correct, there is currently no option in 1Password to create a custom category, and there's not currently a category for storing details about hardware products (I assume you'd want this to store info like serial number and other device specs?). However, we do have an open issue for this request, and I have added your vote for the developers' consideration.

    Meanwhile, as illustrated in our Mac user guide, a decent workaround would be to create a Secure Note to function as that category, and add custom sections and fields within that note to label the information as you see fit.
