Google login rejects password
google is my start page. I access it thru 1PW. This works in Safari and until yesterday this also worked in Firefox. Now when in Firefox and 1PW I access the homepage click1PW it enters my ID then shows the page for the pw which I enter from 1PW, it goes in, I hit login. Boom! it goes right back to the page requesting the password. Whether I access the pw from the browser extension or the main app the result is the same. It does work however in Safari just the way it should. Perhaps this is a google problem?
1Password Version: 4.4.3
Extension Version: 4.3.1
OS Version: 10.9.5

Hi @zzlion,
I'm sorry you're having trouble with that! Google recently changed to a multi-page login process (i.e. they ask for the username on the first page, and the password on the second page) but 1Password should still be able to correctly fill your password on that second page. If I understand, that still works correctly in Safari, but not in Firefox?
Instead of having the 1Password extension fill the password field in Firefox, please try copying & pasting the password from 1Password to the password field on Google, then click the login button. Does that work differently, or does it still go back to the password page? What happens if you manually type the password? When you get redirected back to the password page, does it give you any error message? If so, what does it say?
Thanks!

Drew_AG. thanks for the response. I did try copying and pasting with no success. It returns to the password page. AS for typing the password in manually, I'll try that tho it is 30 characters long so I'll be making errors I'm sure. No error messages.

No error messages.
Interesting. So it isn't telling you that your password is incorrect? It just sends you back to the password page?
Could you please also try disabling auto-submit for the login and see if that helps? Edit the login and change the "submit" option from "When enabled" to "never."
I'd be interested to hear how manually typing the password works, and also how it works (if anything changes) by turning auto-submit off.
Thanks!

Using 1PW I go to google login page, 1PW inputs the email address goes to password page, inputs password, then returns to the page requesting the password again. The process works fine on Safari.

Hi @zzlion,
I couldn't reproduce this on my setup of of 1Password 5.4 for Mac, Chrome 43.0.2357.124 with extension 4.4.0.7. It might be our setups differ, could you supply the versions of your setup please and we can eliminate that as a possibility

That's great news @zzlion, I'm glad it's working correctly for you now! I'm not sure what was happening, but if you had the same problem even when manually typing your password, it sounds like something was going wrong between Firefox and the Google login site. In that case, it makes some sense that refreshing the site helped.
If you run into more problems or need anything else, please let us know. We're always happy to help. :)

Hi @zzlion,
I've merged your two threads as they seem related. It might mean the ordering of a couple of the posts is a bit out of whack now.
If you're continuing to have issue please do let us know here and we'll help you out.
