I edited your post to remove your phone number for privacy sake.

Can you tell us where your original license came from? I assume it was from the AgileBits web site, since there aren't licenses to be applied to applications coming from the Mac App Store.

If you are using version 4 or 5 of 1Password, you will have a license file that was sent when you made your purchase. You'll want to apply that to the installation on your new computer. If you've lost track of the license file, you can have it resent by going to the AgileBits support page, scrolling all the way to the bottom, and filling in the email address you used to make your original purchase.

Let us know if this doesn't cover your issue. I may have missed something.

    Hi James,

As hawkmoth mentioned, it sounds like you downloaded 1Password from our website, which requires a license file to fully activate it, otherwise it will run in trial mode for 30 days. If you've purchased a license for 1Password 4/5 for Mac from the AgileBits Store, you'll need to download/apply your license file to 1Password on the new Mac.

I tried searching our system for the email address associated with your forum account but couldn't find any licenses for you. If you purchased a license from the AgileBits Store with a different email address, you can have your license resent to you from the "I've lost my license" section of this site.

Or is it possible you purchased 1Password for Mac from the Mac App Store? In that case, you'll need to install the Mac App Store version of 1Password. Just launch the Mac App Store, make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to make the purchase, and reinstall 1Password from the Purchases section.

I hope this helps, but please let us know if you have more questions about that - we're here for you! :)

    Hi @James Maxwell,

You're right, I did find some licenses registered to the old email you posted above (which I removed to protect your privacy in these public forums). I changed it to the email address associated with your forum login and resent the licenses to you.

However, the latest licenses there are 1Password 3 for Mac and 1Password (version 1) for Windows, purchased as a bundle in 2011. You can use an existing license key to get 50% off an upgrade license or bundle in our upgrade store here.

Alternately, you can still download 1Password 3.8.22 by scrolling down towards the bottom of our Downloads page. You will see 1Password 3.8.22 under the heading "Legacy."

I hope this helps, but let us know if you have any further questions! Cheers. :)
