Could we have a new category for 2-step token backup keys?
2-step verification is growing popular these days, and yet they are many of them for every applications or webapps. Each has a backup key incase you have no access to the 2-step token software (Google Auth, Authy),
I would like store those keys into 1password in a proper category or format as well. Right now they are all in PDF or TXT file in my storage drive. Not really that safe.
1Password Version: 5
Extension Version: 4
OS Version: 10.10.3
Sync Type: DropBox

What is the one-time password within 1password? I know about 2-step auth but I never used that function in 1password.
It gave me otauth:// how does it work?

Hi @DJRiful,
I'm glad you're interested in 1Password's one-time password feature! You can learn how to add your one-time passwords to 1Password in our User Guide.
It's important to note that storing your one-time passwords inside 1Password does not provide true two-factor authentication. Our security guru has more details about that here: TOTP for 1Password users.
Hopefully that answers your questions, but please let us know if you need anything else. We're always happy to help! :)

Great information and links. I assume the scanner QR code is only on 1password 5.x? PC is still 4.x.
I work on both platform Win 8.1 pro and OS X 10.10.3

Hi @DJRiful,
You're correct, we don't currently have a QR scanner in the Windows version, so it works a little differently there. When setting up a one-time password on a website, you'll need to get a "secret key" instead of a QR code. Then open 1Password 4 for Windows, edit the Login item for that site, click the Add button in the lower left corner, and choose "One-time Password" from the dropdown menu. Paste the "secret key" into the field and save your changes.
Hopefully this helps, but please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!
