Stuck on loading screen for initial set up.

I just downloaded 1password for Mac from the Apple App store today and am struggling to get it set up. I've attempted to attach a picture that shows what I'm talking about. I've deleted my email address in the screen shot but it was in there when I was actually trying to get things set up. I've also tried it with iCloud selected and un-selected and it didn't work either time. It just stays on this loading screen until it eventually times out and locks. Then when I unlock it it starts me over at the screen where you make your selections for things like lock-out timing and such. I've never used 1password in any form before so I'm brand new to the program. Hoping to set it up on my Macbook, iPad and iPhone. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  • Hi @Emi8608,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Sorry for the trouble!

Could you please give this a try:

    • With 1Password open, choose 1Password in the menubar. Hold down the control key on your keyboard and select “Quit 1Password and 1Password mini.”
    • Open Finder and select Go > Go to folder from the menubar.
    • Copy the following text into the dialog box and click the Go button: ~/Library/Containers
    • Locate the folder named 2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper and drag it onto your Desktop.
    • Delete 1Password from your Applications folder, and empty the trash.
    • Restart your Mac.
    • Re-install 1Password from the Mac App Store (you'll find it under the Purchases tab).

Hopefully that helps, but if you still get the same issue after that, please email us a Diagnostics Report from your Mac, along with your forum username and a link to this discussion, to support+forum@agilebits.com and we can investigate further.
