How can I sync 1Password 4 and 1Password 5 on separate Macs?
Running Mavericks with 1Password 4 on MacBook Pro, would like to kept the data updated on MacBook Pro running Yosemite with 1Password 5. Right now 1Password 5 has the migrated data from the other Mac running 1Password 4. I want to keep them identical. Possible?
1Password Version: 4.4.3 & 5.3.1
Extension Version: 4.3.1 & 4.3.1
OS Version: OSX 10.9.5 & OSX 10.10.3
Sync Type: wi-fi

Hi @peanut,
Thanks for posting your question here about syncing 1Password 4 and 5. This is definitely possible with Dropbox sync, like so.
But I noticed your post says Sync Type: wi-fi, so I'll mention that wi-fi sync is possible between one Mac (or PC) and one or more iOS or Android devices, but is not designed for syncing between two Macs.
Will Dropbox sync work for you?

Thanks for the Dropbox idea. I currently use wi-fi syncing for iOS and Macs, and prefer that method.

Hi @peanut,
If you're not keen on Dropbox Sync then you can use a combination of Wi-Fi Sync for your iOS devices and Folder Sync for your Macs. What we recommend is the use of a flash drive. If you set up 1Password to sync to the flash drive using Folder Sync it will recognise when the drive is and isn't there and sync as and when it can. Then all you need to do is pass the flash drive between the two machines on a semi-regular basis to keep the two copies of 1Password up to date.
Could that work for you?

That sounds like a good solution, many thanks!

Ok, can I switch between using a flash drive for the Macs transfer, and use wi-fi for my iOS devices?

Hi @peanut,
Yes, not a problem. You can have both Folder Sync (for USB Drive) and Wi-Fi Sync enabled at once.
And if you need help getting it setup, these guides should help:
Folder Sync
Wi-Fi Sync
Please let us know if you have any other questions. :)

Accomplished the folder sync today-that was easy!!! once I got over my fear of somehow ending up with a huge mess. 1Password is worth every dime many times over, you guys really ROCK.
