[Feature request] Make update check async / in the background

Hi guys,
Every now and then, the update checking dialog shows up as I open 1Password. While I do like to be notified of updates and I like reading the changelog before installing an update, I would prefer if the dialog didn't block the entire UI while it's checking for an update. It forces me to either install an update while I'm trying to grab a password, or it forces me to remember to check for updates afterwards if I want to read the changelog and/or install the update. Worst of all, the checking dialog itself seems to block the UI, so I can't cancel it when I'm in a hurry.
Would it be possible to make the update check in the background, and when an update is available, have a non-modal dialog show up?

Thank you!

    Hi @kodek,

That's planned for the future, we will improve our design to be more multi-thread friendly and that will enable us to not block the main thread while only presenting the dialog if there is an update.

Thanks for letting us know this is important for you.

Sounds like a perfect solution. Can't wait for that update :-)

    Thank you!
