Moving item to new vault overwrites existing item
Tidying up items and moving them to different vaults, I failed to realise an item already existed in the destination vault. The result was the existing item in the destination vault was replaced. There was no error message, nor was the existing item moved to the Trash or its details retained.
As it is confusing having to switch from one vault to another would it be possible to have two windows open for this function or a check on the item name so that one can check before the move is made?

We do have an active bug report regarding this - it certainly is not what we would call intended or ideal behaviour.
Now the bad news. There isn't a workaround while we fix this. I don't know what we'll eventually do but as long as it isn't deemed confusing at all would personally like to see something like a small dialog asking if you wish to overwrite the target, merge or cancel the move/copy operation. It might be the designers have a better idea in mind. I do apologise that you've been caught out by this bug :(
