Hello,

No matter what I try, my old ccv credit code gets filled. I have rechecked 1P and everything and it is saved correctly. I've deleted all credit card data from safari, reset it Etc. with no luck. Hello!!!! I have this problem on all my Macs using Safari. I'm using 5.3, syncing with iTunes, running 10.10.3 and safari 8.06

    Hi @jkirk,

I'm sorry you're having trouble filling your credit card details in Safari! To make sure I understand, did you recently edit an existing Credit Card item in 1Password to update that code, but the previous code still gets filled in credit card forms when you make a purchase online?

If so, please open the main 1Password app and select the Credit Cards category on the left. Find that Credit Card item, and make sure it shows the correct (i.e. new) verification code (if it is concealed, you can hold down the Option key on the keyboard to see it). If that's correct, then open Safari, click the 1Password extension in the Safari toolbar, and find that same Credit Card item so you can view the details - does it also show the new code, or the old one?

Also, can you please let us know what version of the 1Password extension is installed in Safari?

Let us know how it goes, thanks!

Well I'm not sure what fixed the problem, but you're very welcome, @jkirk! I'm happy to hear it's working correctly now. If you need anything else, just let us know - we're always glad to help! :)

So you can help equally tech-challenged customers....When changing the security code of a credit card in 1P, you may have to change it in the browser extension as well. I never checked that....

    Hi @jkirk,

You should never need to update the same data in both places - if you make a change in the main 1Password app, that change should immediately be reflected in the 1Password extension (and vice versa). When you view your data in the 1Password extension, it's reading from the same database as the main app, so the information should always match.

This actually worked differently back in version 3 of 1Password for Mac, because the main app and browser extension each kept their own database, and would need to sync changes back and forth. That changed in version 4, so the extension is using the exact same set of data as the main app.

If you make changes in the main app which are not showing up in the extension, there are a couple possibilities. If you used to use 1Password 3, you might still have the version 3 extension installed which has its own database (and that version of the extension will not communicate with version 4 or 5 of the main app). Or, it's possible you have both the AgileBits Store and Mac App Store versions of 1Password 5 for Mac installed, and the extension is communicating with the "wrong" one.

Don't worry, this is most likely an easy problem to solve! To start, please let us know which version of the 1Password extension is installed in Safari. Also, please check in the Application folder on your Mac to see if there are multiple 1Password apps there (if there are, let us know the name of each). Thanks!
