How to customize/clean up drop down menu
I'd like to customize the 1Password menu in the toolbar so that the options below "Password Generator" are limited to simply (i) Logins and (ii) Folders. If I need to see anything else, like Secure Notes or Credit Cards or Identities or Tags (which I don't use), I'll open the application to access them there. I have looked here and in that the FAQ, the tutorial and doing regular web searching without avail. If I missed it, happy to be directed to the answer. If not, I'd appreciate an answer -- and if it's not possible -- please add this obvious option. Seems like a no brainer.

Hi @coaa,
Thanks for sharing your question here. Would you mind letting us know what version of 1Password you're using?
In 1Password 5, 1Password Mini (the dropdown 1Password app in the menu bar) only displays categories in which you have visible items. So if you're seeing those categories, it's because you have items saved in there and they are set to Display: Always. You can either delete the items if you're not using them, or edit them and set the Display field (near the bottom of the item detail screen) to "Never display in browser."
Let us know if that helps! :)

Thanks for this. I'm using 5.3.2, and this did the trick -- I hadn't realized how many fields were available for editing within the various categories. One snag: Secure Notes doesn't have the option to view or not view (and has many fewer options overall). I have secure notes but I use them very infrequently. How about making it possible to hide those as well (and let me know if there's a better way to offer suggestions for later updates to the app).
In any event, I've had great success with the app and just so 1Password knows, I arrived her via the MPU podcast, so your sponsorship and their recommendation worked.

Hi @coaa,
You're welcome! I'm glad I could help. You're right though, Secure Notes don't have a Display option at this time. I believe they originally were not displayed in the browser extension or mini at all so were not designed with a Display field, but obviously that has changed. We do have an open issue for this improvement, to which I have added your vote as well as my own. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future release, but of course I can't make any promises because it's up to the developers.
(and let me know if there's a better way to offer suggestions for later updates to the app)
This is the best way! Open discussion on the forums about what you'd like 1Password to do and be is the most effective way for us to gauge users' interests and ultimately decide which way to steer our product. Thanks for your feedback. :)

Awesome, that's great to hear!
