Two Different systems and Dropbox

Hello I'm using 1p4 and 1p5 however Dropbox where I keep my pass doesnt allow me to use the 1password.keychain when I use 1p4 on an older machine (Mountain Lion) I receive an error and I am unable to use the latest file. Is there a way to solve this problem?
I need both systems for a variety of reasons hence I need to be able to read the Dropbox files.
understand I could export from 1p5 but how to import it back into 1p4?

Hi @dkt,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with Dropbox sync!

You should be able to simply double-click the 1Password.agilekeychain in the Dropbox folder on your Mac, and 1Password should prompt you to add that as a new vault. Or if you want to sync that keychain with an existing vault, you would want to set up Dropbox sync from the main 1Password app's sync preferences, and choose that 1Password.agilekeychain.

If that's not working for you, we'll need to know some more details. Can you please tell us the following:

• What steps are you taking to setup Dropbox sync on your Mac with Mountain Lion?
• What is the exact error message you get, and at what point do you get it?
• What exact version of the 1Password app is installed on each Mac?
• Are you using the AgileBits Store version or the Mac App Store version of 1Password?
• Aside from your two Macs, what other devices/computers are you syncing with 1Password (if any)?
• What version of 1Password are you using on the other devices/computers (if any)?
• Which Mac has your most up-to-date 1Password information?
