A small bug

If this isn't the appropriate place to report this please tell me where. In any case I'm using 1Password v5.3 and noticed that if my item starts with a number that it's not alphabetized properly.

Not actually a bug. NUmbers come after letters in the sort order.

    Hi @martinliss,

If you prefer you can have numbers and symbols moved to the front of the ordering. It's a option in 1Password's preferences. If you open 1Password's preferences and switch to the Advanced tab you will see a checkbox titled Numbers and symbols are sorted first. Ticking that will have the effect of shifting them before all the items beginning with the letter A.

    Is that useful at all?

Well normally when you sort a mixed list of numbers and text smallest to largest, the numbers come first, so since 1Password sorts the non-numbers A to Z I would think that by default the numbers should be first, but at your suggestion I chose the Numbers and symbols are sorted first option and that looks "normal" to me. There is still a really small problem and that is that when the numbers are at the top there's a heading break after the numbers that shows the first letter of the first alphabetic entry and that's how it should be, but as you can see in my picture above there's no break when the numbers are at the bottom.

    Hi @martinliss,

That might be an error and it does apply regardless if the items are first or last - they both don't have the header that all letters of the alphabet have. In 1Password for iOS they do, using the label #. It would make sense that we're consistent.

I've created a bug report based on your findings, thank you for pointing this out
