how do I get 1password to show the whole user name?
I am trying to find out the user name that I have used for a particular website. When I open either the mini in the menubar or open the program, it shows the user name with asterisks over the beginning of the name. How can I get it to reveal the whole user name? I think I have searched everywhere that I can think of, and can't find a prompt to reveal the whole name.
Thank you

Hi @nhoward5040,
1Password doesn't actually conceal the username field at all, which means that if you're seeing asterisks instead of certain characters, that's how the username was saved in 1Password (i.e. with asterisks instead of the correct characters). There are some sites (usually financial) that replace part of the username with asterisks as soon as you enter it - the site copies the actual username somewhere internally, and replaces the one you see with asterisks in the text field. Therefore, the username that is saved in 1Password also includes the asterisks.
If you know the full username, you should be able to simply edit that Login item in 1Password to enter your correct username. If you don't remember the real username, you can try clicking the "show web form details" button in that item to see if the username is also saved there with the correct text.
If the full username isn't saved anywhere in the Login item in 1Password, and you don't remember what it is, you may be able to reset the username, depending on whether the website has an option to do that (for example, there might be a "Forgot password?" link, or something similar which will help with that). Some sites might also allow you to sign in with your email address instead of the username.
If you need more help with that, please let us know! :)
