How to upgrade from Mac v5 to Mac/Win license -- can't see actual license key

I use 1Password on my Macs and iOS devices with a Mac license. But there is no way I can find to actually see the license key to enter into the Windows field for "Please enter your license code below to see all available upgrades". I need to find out if I can upgrade my license to include a Windows version, or whether I need to buy a separate Windows license.

    Hi @ckpoole99,

Thanks for your interest in adding Windows to your 1Password repertoire. You're on the right track!

I've resent your licenses to you for quick reference. You can use your 1Password 3 for Mac license key in our upgrade store to see your available upgrade options, and it should give you the option to purchase a Windows license at half price.

I believe that answers your question, but let us know if there's anything else we can help you with! :)

Wow thanks for the quick response. But I can't figure it out. Here is the infinite loop I am stuck in. I go to the upgrade store and get this page:

Well, I don't have a license key to enter, so I go to 1Password and get this record:

    [Edit: screenshot removed for privacy]

So I hit "edit" and/or just double click on the license file and I get this:

    [Edit: screenshot removed for privacy]

and I am in a loop. Nowhere can I actually see a license number to enter, only this crazy secret license file that I can't drag on to the upgrade page. Help!

    Hi @ckpoole99,

Sorry for the confusion there, and thanks for including the screenshot for reference. I did remove the screenshot to protect your personal license information, since these forums are public.

1Password 5 for Mac uses a license file (which you found), rather than a text key, so you need to use the key for version 3.

In the email I sent you that contains your license information, you should see a license key under the heading 1Password 3 for Mac. Copy that string of letters and numbers, and paste it into the "license code" box to continue to the upgrade store.

Let us know how that goes for you!

You're welcome, @ckpoole99. No problem. And again, apologies for the confusion!

You can check out the user guide for the Windows app here, which may help you get 1Password up and running on the PC. And of course you know where to find us if you have any other questions. :)
