diferentiate between folders in same domain

I was using dashlane previously which was terrible at this, so I hope 1pw can accommodate it: I have many wordpress installations on one server, and logging into the back end of each requires that I go to a subdirectory of the same server in various tabs in firefox. one might be url.com/site1, another might be url.com/site2, etc. but dashlane would pop up a choice of user names for each subdirectory as if they were all part of the same domain. so, my login for site2 is steven and my login for site1 is stevenw but when I accessed url.com/site1 it would offer for me to log in as either steven or stevenw. I'm over-simplifying this; the number of sites and similar-looking login IDs is actually pretty overwhelming. Does 1pw differentiate between URLs that start with the same domain name when saving login IDs and PWs?

    Hi @scwtech,

Good question! 1Password has an option to switch between Precise domain matching and Lenient URL matching, and you can find information about that here: Lenient URL matching

When Lenient URL matching is enabled, 1Password will only look at the main domain (google.com). When it's disabled, 1Password will be more picky about matching Login items with the subdomain (mail.google.com, accounts.google.com). I'm not entirely sure that will help in your situation, though. In your examples, each site is a different page in the same domain, "url.com". If the sites have different subdomains, 1Password should be able to tell the difference when you have Lenient URL matching turned off.

We do have a free trial for 1Password which you can get from our download site. It's fully functional for 30 days, so you can test it out to see if it works the way you want.

If you have more questions about that, please let us know! :)
