I have two different 1Password files on my desktop one says 1Password5 the other says 1Password 5.2,
Which one should I delete. Also, the icon on Safari was working earlier today, but when I tried to go back and figure out which version to delete I must have done something to delete it because now Safari does not have that icon that opens to reveal the password. I tried to understand the steps for determining which version I am running, but nothing appears in any menu bar when I click on 1 password in my applications folder.
1Password Version: 5 and 5.2
Extension Version: ?
OS Version: osxYosemite10.10.3
Sync Type: Not Provided

Hi @dejack,
If I understand what you mean, it sounds like you have the 1Password app in your Applications folder, and you also have a couple icons on the Desktop that are named "1Password5" and "1Password 5.2". Is that correct?
It sounds like those items on your Desktop might be extra copies of the 1Password app, but the names don't seem to be an exact match for what I would expect them to be in that situation. If they are indeed extra copies of the 1Password app, you should be able to delete them, and that won't cause any problem (as long as you don't use any app-cleaning tools). However, since I'm not positive what those files are, I'd like to be sure before having you delete anything. If possible, I'd love to see a screenshot of those items on the Desktop. To include it in your reply, simply click the document button in the top of the comment field, and select the file you wish to share:
We wouldn't need a screenshot of the entire Desktop if you don't want to do that - a screenshot of just the section with those items would be fine. Thanks in advance!

Where would the icon that is usually on the spacebar (the one that opens 1Password) go? It was there yesterday and now has disappeared, so every time I want to open a file I have to reopen the app and look up the password using edit and reveal.

Hi @dejack,
My recommendation is to look in your Applications folder (it will be in the Sidebar of any Finder window) and see if you have a copy of the 1Password 5 application in there. If you do then drag all three of those items you've highlighted in the image above to your Trash. We strongly recommend you keep a single copy of the 1Password application and the Applications folder is the best place to keep it.
If Safari is missing the extension icon I would suggest following the steps in our guide Installing browser extensions. Does that return the icon to your toolbar?
