Moving to a new mac

I will be upgrading to a new mac. I have the Mac App store version as well as the iPhone app.
I will be doing a clean install of all my applications. I know I can just redownload the app from the Mac App store.
But what about all the content (user names, passwords, software licenses, etc). How do I get that stuff/information into the new app?
Thanks

    Hi @austinnate,

How do you currently sync your 1Password data between your Mac and your iPhone? If you're using iCloud or Dropbox sync, you can use the same sync method in 1Password on your new Mac. The first time you open the 1Password app, you can choose that you've used 1Password before, and then select iCloud or Dropbox sync (if you're using Dropbox, make sure you've installed the Dropbox app first, and allowed all the files to download to the new Mac).

If you're currently using Wi-Fi sync between your Mac and iPhone, that's a different story because Wi-Fi sync is meant to work between one Mac and one or more iOS devices (and not multiple Macs). If you're using Wi-Fi sync, let us know and we can go over other options.

I hope this helps, but we're here for you if you have more questions!

I sync via iCloud. The iCloud sync info contains ALL info including software licenses?

    Hi @austinnate,

If you sync via iCloud, all the data you've entered in your Primary vault will be in there and will sync to 1Password on your new Mac when you choose the iCloud option during setup - that includes Logins, Credit Cards, Identities, Secure Notes, Software Licenses, Bank Accounts, and so on. Whatever you see in your Primary vault in 1Password on your old Mac and iPhone is what should sync to 1Password on your new Mac.

If you happen to have any secondary vaults in 1Password, please note that each vault has its own sync settings, and secondary vaults cannot sync via iCloud (but can sync via Dropbox). But if you don't have multiple vaults, you don't need to worry about that.

Hopefully that answers your questions, but just let us know if you have more! :)
