keyboard shortcuts and 1Password Mini (OS X)
Hi,
Is there a way to copy a password from 1P Mini with a keyboard shortcut?
I use a 1Password a lot for sites that don't support automatic form filling, and apps that aren't browser based (like Fluid which doesn't support extensions).
Is there a single keyboard shortcut that can be used to copy a password of a selected entry? (to combine reduce right-arrow + enter to copy the password field)
If different usernames are used frequently, they also have to be typed in each time for apps like Fluid.
Instead of:
- alt-cmd-\
- (type partial name to select login account)
- RightArrow
- shift-tab to select username
- enter to copy username
- tab to select password field
- cmd-v to paste username
- alt-cmd-\
- (type partial name again)
- RightArrow
- enter to copy password
- cmd-v to paste password
Is something like the following possible?
- alt-cmd-\
- (type partial name to select login account)
- cmd-u (or tab+u, like quicksilver) to copy username
- cmd-v to paste username
- tab to select password field
- alt-cmd-\
- cmd-p (or tab+p, like quicksilver) to copy password (defaults to last selected login account if a new one isn't selected)
- cmd-v to paste password
I've searched other threads for keyboard shortcuts, but any of the links that looked promising resulted in 404 not found.
1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 10.10.3
Sync Type: dropbox

Hi @neurogenesis,
The page, Keyboard shortcuts covers all of our current keyboard shortcuts so I'm guessing you might find that of interest. We've even broken up the Mac ones into those that work in the main window and those that work in 1Password mini.
I think you'll find either
⇧⌘C
of interest, which copies the password of the currently selected item in 1Password mini or you might like the idea of anchoring an item using⌘O
when its Item Details are visible. That one enables you to copy both the username and password without having to remind the item in 1Password mini albeit without the aid of keyboard shortcuts. I mention anchoring as we don't have a shortcut for copying the username. It might be worth checking both out and seeing what works for you and it may even be that both have their uses depending on the situation.
Does that help at all?

Thanks for the reply.
When searching through the forum first for keyboard shortcuts, the links I looked at hadn't listed them as completely as the link you provided. One or two listed main vs. mini separately too. It might be worth removing those older pages that are no longer accurate.
The password shortcut is definitely one step closer.

Hi @neurogenesis,
Our documentation went through a large restructuring recently so it may be certain links aren't as useful as they once were (made obsolete by a better page for example) or if it was one of us posting it might have been an edited list to suit the particular enquiry. Don't get me wrong, I think the forums are a great source of information but if you were to perform a search first on our AgileBits Support page it will allow you to query our knowledge base which includes both troubleshooting pages as well as our guides. If you have any queries about what we've written there or you simply don't find anything that helps then these forums make a great second resource where worst case scenario, you can ask a question and get an answer from an AgileBits team member if needed. I'm glad that page was of interest to you, I know I found it that way too when I first stumbled upon it as a user of 1Password
