Feature Request: Wi-Fi syncing (All to All)

Currently, I am able to use my 1Password Windows version as the 'server' for Wi-Fi syncing, and I update my clients (iOS devices) with my Windows machine. Now, in order to updating my OS X box, I cannot use Wi-Fi, but I am forced to export/backup 1P content and import it back into my OS X box: not quite comfortable.

Feature Request: Allow a "all to all" syncing direction, instead a One to Many direction, as implemented today. So if I have a Windows, a OS X and an iPhone, and want to sync them all at the same time, I can, in an easy way.

Thanks,
Mark.

    Hi @mark_ux,

Thanks for letting us know you'd like to be able to use Wi-Fi sync between Mac and Windows (in addition to your iPhone). We've received other, similar requests, and I'll be happy to add your comments to our open feature request for that. I don't have any timeframe for if/when that will be added, but I do hope we'll be able to add something like that in the future.

For now, Dropbox sync will allow you to sync your 1Password data between Mac, Windows, and iOS. Or if you don't want to use Dropbox, another option would be to continue syncing your iPhone with Windows via Wi-Fi sync, and keep Mac & Windows in sync with each other using the Folder sync option with another sync service.

I hope that helps, but if you have more questions, please let us know. :)

@Drew_AG, thanks. Yes, but in my opinion I would never upload such sensitive information to any cloud service (even when I am uploading hashes...) The logic behind my opinion is this: even when current* technology is not capable of doing X thing, it potentially would be able to do it in the future (quantum computing). But, once you have uploaded your sensitive infomation to any cloud service, you are Done; is there, forever: no matter what Google/Microsoft/Apple/Facebooks tells you. You delete; they use 'soft delete': info is there for ever.... So, when technology catches up, it will be a matter of cracking what is on their hands.

One solution I had been thinking of, is to use an 'offline cloud', a cloud without a cloud: https://www.aerofs.com/features/
By using AeroFS (which does not upload anything to the cloud but sync happens directly between devices), I could sync the 1P vault with such service (I have no tried it yet, but have the idea)

    Thanks,
    Mark.

    Hi @mark_ux,

It's great to hear that you are thinking seriously about the security of your data!

If you're intent on keeping your data out of the cloud, I would recommend looking into Folder Sync, as Drew suggested above. This will sync your 1Password data with a folder of your choice on your hard drive, which you can then sync to your other computer using a third-party service. I haven't looked too closely at AeroFS, but it might work quite nicely with Folder Sync to keep your data synced across your computers while you use Wi-Fi for your iOS device.

I'm sorry that I don't have a perfect answer for you right now, but I hope this helps!
