Hi @lnicol,
We will certainly do our best to help but we I think we may need a little more information on the issue. I see you've supplied all the various versions which is great and that will help us in ensuring what we suggest is applicable to you.
Could you describe in just a little more detail for us please how 1Password isn't working for you. The more detail the better but even just a little more may be enough for us to better understand. Once we have a better grasp we will work with you to resolve this

Hello: you apparently have my past history, and since then I have tried removing documents suggested in your forums and the lastest try removing all of 1Password from my computer, downloading ver. 5.3.2 from your web site, and ext. 4.3.1. I am using macbookpro, yosemite ver. 10.10.3. I cannot remeber all that I have tried, with no result. firefox, chrome works well.

Hi @lnicol,
Now that you have made me aware that this has been an ongoing issue I did a search and did indeed find a conversation from two months ago.
Now it seems like you're still experiencing the same issue, multiple Safari extensions and not just ours cannot be installed. I see you've tried a few things including reseting the Safari Extension database to no effect. The last suggestion I see we had was that you may need to contact Apple Support to see if they could assist in ways we might not be able to. Did you contact Apple support and were they any use?
If you haven't, and given everything else you've already tried, I would suggest repairing the permissions on your user account which bizarrely Disk Utility doesn't help with. Instead you will want to follow this guide, How to fix home folder permissions in OS X.
If you use FileVault there are an extra couple of steps because the recovery mode won't mount the encrypted drive by default. Before using the Reset Password program you would want to open Utilities > Disk Utility. There will be a disk entry probably titled
Macintosh HD
that is greyed out. Select it and next to the Burn button there should be one titled Unlock. Click on that button and supply your password. You can then follow the rest of the steps above. The result is all of your user account permissions should be reset.
After this it would seem you might have to consider a new user account to see if the issue is simply a broken account.

Hi @lnicol,
I'm sorry the steps in that article didn't seem to match what you're seeing on your Mac. That article is from the MacIssues.com website (not our own) and is about troubleshooting certain kinds of issues in Mac OS X, and not directly related to 1Password. It's something that littlebobbytables thought might help to solve the problem you're having in Safari, but if the steps there don't match what you're seeing on your own Mac, something may have changed since that article was written.
Unfortunately it sounds like the problem you're having with the 1Password extension is really a problem with Safari, which is causing a problem for other extensions as well. In this discussion and your previous email conversation, we've given you all the steps we know that will normally solve similar issues with extensions in Safari. Since none of that helped, it appears there is a deeper issue with Safari, user permissions, or something else in Mac OS X on your computer, and I'm afraid that's beyond what we're able to fix. Safari and Mac OS X are both made by Apple, so you'll need to contact Apple Support for more help to solve the problem: http://www.apple.com/support/contact/
I'm very sorry we weren't able to help you fix this! Once Apple is able to solve the problem with Safari, you should be able to reinstall the 1Password extension. But if you run into more trouble with 1Password (and other extensions are all working properly with Safari), please don't hesitate to let us know!
