how do I log in to my verizon wireless account? I have to select verizonwireless twice in 1password MAC, once for username and once for password. Shouldn't I only have to select this ONCE?

What is meant by sync type?

    Hi @Chrisone,

Sync Type is for users that have 1Password on more than one device and to ensure data stays consistent synchronise the vault using either iCloud, Dropbox, Wi-Fi or Folder Sync. Each has certain conditions for usage but the idea is that changes to a vault in one copy will be visible in another copy on another machine or device. When troubleshooting synchronisation issues the method of sync used is important.

Now to your query. I'm not a Verizon customer myself, in fact I'm not even in the right country to be a customer. So it does mean I don't have detailed knowledge of their website. Still, let's see what we can figure out.

Now most websites ask you for your username and password on a single page. When they do you should only need to issue the fill command once. There are those sites though that have what we call a multi-page login process. Banks were usually the main users of this but even Google is now. Now a lot depends on the site in question, some we can create a single Login item that will allow filling on both pages, for some it requires two Login items, one per page of the login process. In both though it will require issuing the fill command twice, once for the username page, then a second time for the password page.

With that background on how filling works, how does this fit with Verizon, do they ask for your username and password on a single page or do they spread it over more than one? That answer will give us a much better idea of what we're dealing with. As you can imagine, if you're needing to fill twice on a single page to get it to work then that does sound odd and we'll need to find a way to look into it. If you're filling in two separate pages then 1Password is working correctly. Please do let us know the answer to this and if need be we will certainly continue the troubleshooting process with you

For my login, I actually have 5 entries saved.

I would suggest mulitstep logins LBT mentioned above. Here is a help topic which should answer some questions. https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac-kb/5/en/topic/creating-a-multi-page-login

    My saved entries are:
    Password
    Login
    Security challenge question (s)

It all depends on the landing page, some ask for both, some like main landing page ask for login first. Then password on the next password. Then on the next the challenge if its asked for.

Thank you @thightower  It's fantastic to have somebody that is a customer and understands the labyrinth that the likes of @Chrisone is trying to navigate.

Can I humbly suggest that a site that requires 5 separate Login items could possibly find a way to optimise a tad for their users? :pirate:
