Import of lastpass data not working
There was a previous thread on this, but it was closed, DESPITE the fact that this feature still doesn't work. Should you not close a topic until the issue is fixed? I used to use this software, but i moved to lastpass because it was cross-platform and you guys weren't. Now i'm mostly using mac and ios devices, and i was thinking of moving back. However, since I can't import my lastpass data, I won't purchase your product. Can you guys not test this and fix it? I'm kind of confused how you can release something that says "import lastpass" when in fact it doesn't. It just says 0 failed, 0 imported...so if i have 500 items, and 0 import, by definition 500 have failed, no?
Again, two things, why doesn't import from lastpass work, and why would you close a support thread before the issue reported is fixed?
These are both very important questions, as they reflect on your developers and qa personnel attention to detail, as well as your corporate commitment to producing quality software. if you can't import lastpass, don't have that as a specific import type.

Not to make excues, but keeping importers / converters working is not a one-time deal, since each password manager's export format can change. For example, the data formatted exported in SplashID 8 is different than that in SplashID 7.
Sometimes users export data on one platform, and then try to import that data on another platform; but the export formats for many password managers differs depending upon platform. As do line endings and inter- and intra-record separators.
The 1Password importer will fail completely when sometime goes wrong; its kind of a safety feature. So it only takes one minor discrepancy to cause the failure.
Anyway, try using this converter instead.

It might also be related to the hack of LastPass.

I don't think so. Several users have had some problems importing from LastPass, but since there is alternate means to convert and import, I don't believe anyone has investigated the issue.
