1P stopped entering User ID for a specific website
I had been accessing my medical insurance website (ebcflex.com) off and on all day and frequently logged in using the 1P quick fill shortcut (⌘), without problems. Then all of a sudden 1P would no longer enter the User ID - it would leave that field blank and only enter my password. If I select the login from the 1P browser extension (whether in Safari or Chrome), the result is the same. I tried using "Save new Login" and manually entered my login & password, but the results remained the same. So far, this issue has only been for this one website. Could it be that while I was using their site, EBC changed their website security or such? ... For now I must manually enter my User ID and 1P enters my password when I use the quick fill shortcut.

Extension Version: 4.3.1
OS Version: 10.10.3

It sounds to me like your web site has been changed during the day. Have you tried to save the login manually? That usually works to get things back to working if the web site has changed something.
Take a look at the directions, here, and let us know if that helps.

Hi @gkgriffith,
Did the suggestion from hawkmoth help? Please let us know how it goes when you try the steps from his link. Hopefully it takes care of the problem for you, but if you need more help, we're here for you. :)

Thank you hawkmoth and Drew_AG! Although I had tried manually saving the login info earlier, it had not worked. I tried again and this time it seems to have saved all the info properly, because it is now working. Thanks so much!!

But wait! ... This is interesting. After posting my "success" above, I opened the 1P app and looked at the new login entry for the site I was having trouble with. Strangely, it does not show a field for my username in the 1P entry, just for the PW. I thought maybe it was hidden, so I clicked to "edit" the entry, revealing more fields. The username field does then appear, but is empty. Yet when I use 1P to log in to this website, it appears to be writing something in the username field, as I can see the black dots appear in the username field. ... I'm happy that 1P is remembering the login info and logging me in OK. But I'm puzzled about why the 1P entry seems to have no data in the username field. Any ideas on this? Thanks!

Hi @gkgriffith,
I'm glad the new Login item you created is working now! Thanks for letting us know.
As for the way your data shows up in that Login item in 1Password, it looks like that website is doing something strange with the User ID field. To test this, I chose "Participants" from the Log In menu on ebcflex.com, which I'm guessing is what you do as well (but please let me know if I'm wrong about that). In that login form, text entered in the User ID field is concealed, just like a password field (so you see the black dots instead of the actual text). The result is that 1Password sees that as another password field instead of a username field, and that's why it doesn't appear as the "username" in the Login item. But that's ok, because 1Password still saves that in the web form details of the Login item, so it's able to fill the form correctly.
Interestingly, it looks like manually adding text to the username field in a Login item for that site will cause a problem when 1Password tries to fill that login form. But as long as you don't do that, the new Login item you created should continue to work - unless there are more changes to that site, of course. ;)

Thanks for looking into this. Yes, I log in under "Participants." ... I'm sure glad you 1Password Jedi Masters are able to figure all this stuff out. I'm just glad it works and I don't have to remember my login info!! :chuffed:

Wow, thank you for the kind words, @gkgriffith! I'm not sure I'm worthy of the title "Master" as I sometimes feel like more of a Padawan compared to some of my team members here. ;)
I'm really glad it's working for you now, and that you're enjoying 1Password! We're always happy to help, so please let us know if you ever need anything else.
