Idea: make vault usable only from specified MAC addresses

Hello,

I just started using 1Password! As some other users, I'm a little uncomfortable in using Dropbox for syncing, yet it is currently the only feasible way to keep my various devices (many platforms) in sync.

I wonder if you have ever considered adding an option to make the vault usable only from specified MAC addresses?
So that IF your vault is stolen AND the attacker figures out your master password, he still wont be able to get to the vault from just any device - he'd have to actually steal your device to be able to open the vault.

    Hi @v_j,

Thanks so much for the suggestion!

At this time, the best protection for your 1Password database is a strong Master Password. We want to make sure that it is not possible for an attacker to figure that out. If you'd like to learn more about how to create an awesomely strong Master Password, please have a read through our security guru's blog post: Towards Better Master Passwords.

Thanks for your input, @Waterside! Indeed, the idea behind choosing a strong master password is that no one should be able to figure out what it is.

Thanks for updating me on MAC address, @Waterside. That pretty much seals that idea, then :)

@Drew_AG & @Megan ,absolutely right! I intend to keep my master password as strong as I can possibly remember!
