I created a master pass word but have not yet done anything else. Now the password does not work.
A few days ago I purchased the 1password app and created a master password. Now when I want to continue with the app -- i.e. enter my passwords for security, the master password does not work "incorrect password".
What do I do?

The easiest thing for you to do is start over. Directions for that are on this page. Make sure you keep a safe record of you master password. If you don't have that, you won't be able to get to your data, and no one will be able to help with that either.

If you haven't actually entered any data in 1Password yet (aside from creating a master password), then as hawkmoth said, the easiest thing to do is start over. When you do that, you'll be able to choose a new master password. When you do that, it may help to take a look at this knowledgebase article: How do I choose a good Master Password?
