Upgrade 3.8 to 5

Hi, where do I find upgrade downloads? I tried downloading v5 but it's app name is different and it did not have my data. Or do I have to do some sort of import? BTW, the 3.8.22 {"an error occurred while extracting the update"] has an issue. I'm on Yosemite.

    All of our downloads are available on our AgileBits Download page.

    We've seen a couple of reports of errors while extracting but so far the few that report back have been using a third part archive application, is that the case at all for you? I personally don't use any third party archive applications because OS X support is already pretty impressive and the built-in application has no issues extracting 1Password 3.8.22. Could that be the case for you?

    As far as upgrading from 1Password 3 to a newer version the transition should be pretty seamless. When a new instance of 1Password 4/5 is launched for the very first time two of the standard locations checked are known default locations used by 1Password 3. If 1Password 4/5 finds 1Password 3 data in the form of a 1Password.agilekeychain it will import the contents and set up syncing to it in case you still use it. That mostly applies for people upgrading from 1Password 3 to a newer version on a machine that used to run 1Password 3 of course. If this isn't the case please let us know.

    One thing to consider though is 1Password 4 was a paid upgrade over 1Password 3, so a 1Password 3 licence key won't work to register 1Password 4/5 which requires a licence file. Now a 1Password 3 licence key can be used to obtain a discounted licence, an upgrade price if you wish but that only applies in our store.     You're certainly not forced to upgrade past 1Password 3.8.22 although we would hope the number of bug fixes and additional features make it appealing. Either way though we'll do our best to help you resolve this.

    Thank you! It turns out I have a license for v4 which was on my MacBook, but not the Mini. So I found the license, applied and installed v5 and it grabbed my data. Sometimes having two Mac's and keeping everything updated is a PITA, but they do serve different purposes. Your reply made me look into this further and helped solve the issue.
