10.11 running fine here...
I'm running it on a MBA. A bit of a PITA going through all the updates (must have been 15 or more). Finally 2 days ago, the update appeared that said if installed, there was NO going back. Since my MBA is mainly an internet machine and all my important stuff reside on my iMac, I went with it and it seems to be running fine. While I was going through the interim updates, my 1Password failed to work although it now works fine. I'm also running Parallels and Windows7 runs fine with the new software as well.

Hi @Starflyer,
If you can do me a quick favor, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to know which Perl versions are in 10.11.
Open Terminal, and type:
ls -l /usr/bin/perl*
and paste the output (it will look like):
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 58416 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perl* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 35600 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perl5.16* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 35600 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perl5.18* -rwxr-xr-x 38 root wheel 811 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlbug* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 41917 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlbug5.16* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 41944 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlbug5.18* -rwxr-xr-x 38 root wheel 811 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perldoc* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 259 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perldoc5.16* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 259 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perldoc5.18* -rwxr-xr-x 38 root wheel 811 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlivp* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 10807 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlivp5.16* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 10807 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlivp5.18* -rwxr-xr-x 38 root wheel 811 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlthanks* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 41917 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlthanks5.16* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 41944 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlthanks5.18*
Thanks in advance.

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 41944 Sep 9 2014 /usr/bin/perlthanks5.18I've stripped my name off the above data. I should also note that I'm not a REAL beta tester although Apple considers me one since this is the 3rd OS X beta that I've tested. Hoping the above printer output doesn't open me up to hackers.

I don't think there's anything in there that would open you up to hackers, but if it turns out I'm wrong, we'll of course be happy to edit your post.
Thanks for letting us know 1Password is now working for you in El Capitan! :)

Thanks @StarFlyer,
That helps me know that the convert_to_1p4 converter will work on El Capitan without modification. I wasn't ready to create a virtual machine yet to find out this info, so you saved me some time.
There was no security issue with your post. The information I requested is standard, and not confidential - all installs will have the same information.

Thanks for helping MrC with his query @Starflyer, it's kind of you

littlebobbytables...
Actually I probably muddied the water. I was under the mistaken impression that I had download the El Capitan Beta when in fact I had downloaded the latest Yosemite Beta. For some reason Apple currently has 2 OS-X beta programs going at the same time. The printout below is from my fresh installation of El Capitan Beta. Sorry for the mistake in my earlier post.

Ah, well, that makes more sense to me. The dates on your entries were old, and I wondered about that. In any event, this entry:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 43776 Jun 3 05:10 /usr/bin/perl5.16
tells me everything I need to know.
