manual syncing is ridiculously tedious

I don't use any online syncing between my computers and mobile devices, preferring to manually sync of my closed network, therefore making certain that my data is never copied or stored anywhere else, even temporarily.
However, it actually requires going through 6 screens on my iPhone and iPad each as well as setting the Mac into sync mode. And I have to do that every time I want to sync.
I know the blah, blah, blah convenience of online, internet, cloud (or whatever marketing is calling it this week) but I should be able set my preferred method of syncing one time and then be able to sync with only a single screen tap.

Can someone add this to the list of needed functionalities?

also, where is the best place to post recommendations?

You really need to provide the information highlighted as Not Provided at the end of your post so that we can help. Please tell us:

I can say that if you're using 1P5 on both Mac and iOS devices then using wifi sync is almost invariably seamless: it simply requires 1P to be unlocked on all devices and then sync should be fully automatic. So please provide the additional information so that we can see where your system differs.

    Hi @sacorp,

As Stephen_C has covered, version information may be quite important here. Like Stephen_C I too use Wi-Fi Sync and it's a set and forget affair in 1Password 5. All that I'm required to do is ensure 1Password is unlocked on both my Mac and iOS device for syncing to occur and that's it. Even in 1Password 4 the extra steps were about opening a window in 1Password 4 for Mac if memory serves me correctly.

So once we know what we're dealing with we can try and figure out if something isn't working properly in your case.
