I cannot enter the app
Hi, I am a new user on the macbook of a friend. My friend was using 1password on the same computer as well. Yesterday I managed to enter a new master password. Today I am no longer able to open the app with my password.
So I decided to buy the app as well as I guess, the licence is only for 1 person. I deleted the old app and try to re-install it. Still it is asking for the master password which no longer works. What can I do to start from scratch? Many thanks and best regards. Dietmar

What you're looking for is our guide titled, How do I start over with an empty vault? This will allow you to start over with a completely new vault and importantly, enter a new Master Password too.
Of course it might be worth quickly checking out our page I lost or forgot my Master Password. Help! and My Master Password is not being accepted. What should I do? You might discover a reason why you're having problems or stumble upon your original Master Password. Worst case scenario though the starting over guide will help you out.
