How can we enter a tab in the middle of a username?

One of my banks - Jibun Bank here in Japan - (http://www.jibunbank.co.jp/redirect/login.html) requires 5 digits, tab and then another 5 digits for the username, like in the screenshot. Then the password below.

In PasswordWallet there is a special character to "tab" when entering. How can I accomplish this login using 1Password?

Thanks,

doug

Have you tried re-creating and saving the login manually to see if that works?

    Hi @douglerner,

You should hopefully find Stephen_C's suggestion works for you. I've just tried it in Safari and a manually saved Login item correctly fills in all three fields. I can't test submitting as I'm not a customer though but the filling aspect all looks good.

Let us know how you get along

Thanks. The instructions to recreate it manually did work, and the fields were correctly populated and I was able to login.

    Two questions if I may:

    1. Is there any way of adding those extra fields myself? I guess this way is reasonably easy though.
    2. Auto login doesn't work. I have to click the login button. Is there a way to have it auto login as it does with most of my other logins? Is the login button in Japanese perhaps preventing that? I have "always submit" selected.

    Thanks again,

    Hi @douglerner,

I believe we're looking at a way to add fields but even if that makes it into 1Password I think there are a number of reasons to let the Browser Extension take a shot first. There's a long(ish) explanation about how we fill but suffice to say, if the web form details matches a page exactly we behave in a way we may not otherwise. In other words we place a lot of faith in a Login item created by the Browser Extension.

On OS X our Always submit mimics the enter key. Say you logged into a site manually, if after typing in your password pressing the enter key logs you in then our auto submit should work. This isn't the case on iOS as we don't have a satisfactory way to replicate this behaviour. I've tested that site and it isn't responding to the enter key so it looks like you will have to manually click on the button I'm afraid, at least for that page. I don't know if they have an alternative login page at all (many, but not all banks do) and it may behave differently.

I understand. Thanks. That site doesn't respond to the enter key. I will somehow move my pinkie finger 0.5 cm to the right and tap enter manually. :)

Thankfully sites that explicitly require a button to be clicked are rare so this should be (fingers crossed) very much an outlier.
