Will changing my DropBox password interere with the 1Password sync
I am using Dropbox to sync my passwords from my desktop to phone to iPad.
Today I changed my Dropbox password to something stronger.
I would like to know if this will interfere with my ability to use 1Password via Dropbox to keep my vault in a place where all devices can use it?
1Password Version: 5.3.2
Extension Version: 4.3.1
OS Version: OSX 10.10.3
Sync Type: Dropbox

Hi @pcgs51,
Good question! I imagine you'll probably need to sign into the Dropbox app with your new password, but otherwise your Dropbox password change won't affect 1Password on your Mac at all. 1Password for Mac simply reads & writes changes to the local Dropbox folder on your Mac, and it's up to the Dropbox software to copy change to/from the Dropbox servers and your other devices.
It works a little differently on your iPad - 1Password needs to be authorized to connect to Dropbox, and that gets taken care of when you set up the Dropbox sync option in 1Password. It's been a while since I changed my own Dropbox password, but I believe Dropbox sync will still continue to work in 1Password on your iPad because it's already been authorized on that device. But if at some point Dropbox needs you to re-authorize 1Password for iOS, it will let you know, and you'll just need to re-enable Dropbox sync again.
Essentially it's nothing to worry about as long as Dropbox continues to sync correctly with your devices. If you want more information about how a Dropbox password change affects your devices that are authorized to use your Dropbox account, you should be able to find answers in the Dropbox Help Center: https://www.dropbox.com/help
If you have more questions, just let us know! :)

Thanks Drew_AG,
Two questions:
1. I don't see a way to login to my Dropbox app. It just always works. Am I missing something? Well—maybe not. I did find an app in my apps folder and just now launched it. Looks like a saw a quickie sync symbol for a brief moment. Hopefully its working fine.
2. Is there a good way to verify that my syncing is working?0 -
No you will not need to do anything to the Mac Dropbox app. When you originally setup the Dropbox app it stores a security token from the Dropbox servers which identify your machine as linked (being part of your account).
The app will continue to work even after a password change with no changes needing to be made on your part. All thanks to that security token. To check the syncing.
Make a new secure note for example (on the desktop). Call it "sync test" (for example) then open the iPad and make sure it arrives after a sync is performed. Also check and make sure it appears on the iPhone.
Delete the note on the iPhone and make sure it is removed on the iPad and the desktop.
Provided the note syncs and deletes, then everything is working properly.

Thanks for the assist, @thightower! :) I think I've seen you post similar information before, but couldn't find it yesterday. I'll make a note to myself about how that works.
@pcgs51, hopefully you're all set, but we're here for you if you have more questions or need anything else!
