1password doesn't work on new computer.

I am upgrading from my 2009 Macbook pro to a new macbook pro. 1password5 doesn't open on the new computer. As I wish to retire the old computer I need to be able to use my stored passwords on the new computer. How do I transfer them to it? How do I get the app to open on it?

1password5 doesn't open on the new computer.

Can you please explain what happens when you try to open 1P? Do you get any error message and, if so, what does it say?

    Hi @dra1547,

In conjunction with Stephen_C's query, it would also help us to know what version of 1Password you were using on your old MacBook Pro and if you were syncing the data at all. We will certainly help you move your data across but to give you the correct advice we need to know what version you were using - the details will vary depending on if it was 1Password 3 or a newer version.

Thanks, I figured it out on my own. As the title of my query said I am using 1password5 and it just didn't open when I clicked on it. No error messages, nothing. I read the support page on how to move my data by putting it in a folder on my flash drive and it worked.

@dra1547, I'm glad you were able to figure out how to transfer your 1Password data! Are you now able to open 1Password 5 on your new Mac, or do you need more help with that?

Thanks, Drew. It opens and works just fine now.
