Combining one password accounts
Hi-
My husband and I each have one password on our computers. Ideally, I would like to have them set up as two vaults but we would both have access to both on each computer. Then, we want to set up a new third account for another person and give them access to some of our account passwords. Can you help me figure out how to set this up so we don't lose the info we have saved?
Thanks!
-Sophie

Hi Sophie ( @SophieBeraznik ),
I would like to apologize for the delay in responding to you here but we experienced a surge in support requests recently. We're doing the best we can to get back to our usual speedy replies as soon as possible.
It sounds like you want to use 1Password's awesome multiple vaults feature. To learn more about how to set up these vaults, have a read through our User Guide: Multiple Vaults.
For yourself and your husband, I would actually recommend the following set-up:
- You each maintain your own 'primary' vault with your personal Logins (this is particularly useful for keeping all those accounts that you might each have a Login for separate - like social networks)
- You share a secondary vault with all your shared Logins (banking details, the Netflix account, etc.)
- You can create as many secondary vaults as you'd like, to share with this third person, and a team at work ... the opportunities are endless. :)
Please let me know if anything in the guide doesn't quite make sense to you - we'd be happy to discuss it in more detail!
