How to handle a 2 page login.

One of my accounts has a 2 page login. When you access the website, the first page asks for USERNAME. If it finds it successfully in it's database, it goes to another page requesting the PASSWORD. How does 1PW handle a split transaction like this? So far, all my logins have asked for both the UN and PW on the same page.
