Mac and iPhone iCloud sync not working (error message)
I am using the 1Password Version 5.3 (530029) Mac App Store
I am using 1Password Version 5.4.3 (504301) for iPhone
On MAC
- 1Password iCloud sync was working fine.
- I was using iCloud (account lets say named Johnny appleseed)
- next changed sync to dropbox
- manually synced
On iPhone
- I restored my iPhone to 8.3
- logged into iCloud account Jack Beanstalk
- I downloaded 1Password Version 5.4.3 (504301)
On MAC
- Logged out of iCloud account Johnny Appleseed
- Logged into iCloud account Jack Beanstalk
- Changed sync in 1Password from Dropbox to iCloud Sync
- Get error message "iCloud is not available. Please enable iCloud to continue."
On iPhone
- Told 1Password to sync using iCloud
- Get error message "Failed to fetch some record zones. 1Password encountered a problem."
I see there are lots of this type of questions recently. Im sure we would love to get solutions. Any help is appreciated. I switched over from RoboForm which was a huge step. I never regretted it until now. I'm sure you will provide a solution soon. Please let me know how to proceed.
Thank you,
Chris Wagers

- Logged into Jack Beanstalk iCloud account
- told 1Password to sync using iCloud

On MAC
- logged out of Jack Beanstalk iCloud account
- logged into Johnny Appleseed iCloud account
- chose iCloud sync in 1Password
- sync completed successfully
- logged into Jack Beanstalk iCloud account
- chose iCloud sync in 1Password

Maybe this will help someone else with this issue. In my case I deleted 1Password documents in iCloud storage. Thats when the things went awry. Oh well glad I got it fixed sooner rather than later.
Thank you,

Hi @chris12923,
It sounds like something get messed up with the changing around of the different Apple IDs in iCloud. I'm glad you got it resolved.
