"1Password backed up" bubble when restarting. Old logo, Growl removed from computer.
Hello -
Whenever I restart my computer and login, I receive a "Growl-style" bubble in the upper right of my screen that says "1Password backed up". It contains the old 1Password logo, suggesting this is a remnant of a previous 1P version.
However, I've removed Growl from my computer (I think), and any old versions of 1P.
I did recently switch from Dropbox syncing to iCloud syncing, and still have my 1P file in Dropbox (just in case). Perhaps that's affecting this?
What is this message, and how I can eliminate it?
1Password Version: current.
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: 10.10.4
Sync Type: iCloud (previously Dropbox)

Hi @LKlieger,
If the notification you get shows the old 1Password icon, it sounds like you still have 1Password 3 (or at least some of its components) installed on your Mac. The first thing you'll want to do is check the Applications folder to see if the old 1Password 3 app is still there. If it is, you can move that to the Trash (don't use any app cleaning utilities).
Even if you don't find the 1Password 3 app, the next step will be to delete an old component called 1PasswordAgent by following these steps:
- From the Finder, go to the menu option for Go > Go to Folder...
- In the Go to the folder field that appears, copy and paste the following text and press Return:
~/Library/LaunchAgents
- Delete ws.agile.1PasswordAgent.plist
- Go back to the menu option for Go > Go to Folder…
- Copy and paste the following text and press Return:
~/Library/Application Support/1Password
- Delete the Agent folder
- Restart your Mac
Does that help? If you had trouble with those steps, please let us know. Thanks!
