Password Generator and original passwords
I know my passwords for various online websites. When using Password Generator in 1Password for tighter security, will the generated password also change in the websites? And if so, will I be able to log into those websites by typing in the original passwords? (Example: If I use the password generator in one of my gmail accounts, will the password changes also be made inside that gmail account as well as in my 1Password? And will I be able to open that specific site using my original password?)

Hi @marlene,
Thanks for your questions about changing passwords for your website logins!
1Password is used to store your passwords, and can fill your passwords on websites, but it can't change your website passwords for you. If you change your password for a website, you'll need to make that change on the website as well as in 1Password (this is true whether or not you use the password generator). But 1Password can help to make that easy for you! The best way to do that is to follow the steps here: Changing a saved password
Once you change your password on a website, the old password will no longer work.
Hopefully that answers your questions, but please let us know if you need anything else! :)
